I'm sure you have heard of these methods before in the natural hair community. I'm not going to waste too much of your time with all the details but lets talk a little bit about this. To avoid lack of moisture that can cause breakage, dry, brittle, and frizzy hair. These methods are used to give you maximum moisture to last 3 to 4 days with only one reapply during the week.

L.O.C Method
The (L) Liquid is water or a water based leave-in conditioner that you apply to clean, washed, and conditioned hair. If you are using a leave-in conditioner make sure the first ingredient on the product is (aqua) water.
The (O) is oil depending on your hair porosity you can use a heavy oil like olive oil, castor oil, jojoba oil, hempseed oil, and coconut oil for HIGH porosity hair and a lighter oil like, grapeseed oil, argan oil, sweet almond oil, and pomegranate oil for LOW porosity hair. Some oils work well mixed for either hair porosity play around with different oils to see what works for you.
The (C) is Cream that can be used as a styler or to further seal in the moisture. This cream should be butter based like shea butter, avocado butter, or mango butter. They are all great for locking in that extra moisture,
With this method my hair do not like it at all. Once I put the oil in my hair it is hard for anything else to get into my strands. Then I feel like my hair is getting weighed down with my fine strands. If this method works for you then keep doing it. The more moisture the better but you do need to pay attention to moisture overload and making sure to stick to your wash day regimen to avoid product buildup.

The L.C.O Method
The L.C.O Method is the same thing just applied in a different order. With this method my hair does like it but for a more defined curls I replace the oil with a gel and once that gel dries and with some gels, form a cast on the hair I use the oil to break that cast. My curls are defined and moisturized with this L.C.G.O method. Here are some of the products I use:
For my (L)iquid I use "Fruit of The Earth Aloe Vera Juice." For my (C)ream I use "Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie." For my (G)el I use "Eco Styler Black Castor and Flaxseed Oil Gel." The (O)il I have made my own little mixture of lighter and heavier oils. Like I mentioned before you can play around with oils that works for you and make your own mix.
There are many different methods that work for some naturals. Some naturals stick to either one of these methods mentioned and have success! No matter what method you choice just make sure you prevent your hair from being dry and prone to breakage. Our goal is healthy hair grows so focus on keeping your hair healthy first and then it will grow.
